handanla is a fashion, style, makeup and beauty blog for plus-size women. The face of the site is Handan Aydemir. This page explains how we prepare our content and the principles we follow.

How content is prepared

Our articles are prepared with the support of artificial intelligence. Google’s Gemini AI researches publicly available sources and drafts the articles in Turkish, English and Russian. Articles are transferred to the site with our team’s approval and pass automated format and completeness checks before publication.

The sources used are listed with links at the end of every article, so readers can see where the information comes from.

Bylines

Articles prepared with AI support carry no byline; they show the category and publication date instead. The “Handan Aydemir” byline appears only on articles written by Handan Aydemir herself. We never attribute to Handan Aydemir words she did not say or experiences she did not have.

Our principles

• Inclusive language. Every body is valuable. Outfits are suggested to “highlight” what you love, not to “hide” anything. We do not use demeaning or stigmatising language.
• No diet or weight content. We do not publish content about weight loss, dieting or “looking slimmer”.
• No health advice. We give no advice on medication, cosmetic surgery or medical matters. Skincare articles are general information.
• No invented facts. Prices, figures, dates, product details and quotations are included only if they appear in a source.
• No copying. We do not copy text from other sites; news is retold in our own words with a link to the source.
• Images. We do not use photos from news websites. Brand images are used from the brand’s press or product page with credit. AI-generated images are used only as fashion illustrations and never imitate a real person or a real brand’s product. Articles without an image use the site’s own cover design.

Independence

The site does not use affiliate links. A brand appearing in an article does not mean a paid partnership. If advertising or sponsored content is published in the future, it will be clearly labelled.

Corrections

If you spot an error in an article, please write to iletisim@handanla.com. Verified errors are corrected and an “Updated” date is shown at the top of the article. Requests about images you own the rights to can be sent to the same address.
